Here's a car that's about driving something unique and looking great while doing it. This restored 1939 Buick Super Sedanette is a shining example of a rare sight in the classic community. The Regency Blue paint that immediately grabs you attention was applied in 2015. This modern gloss and shine seems to be the perfect way to showcase the "Sedanette" design. The classically long front sheetmetal with lines that run the full length of the body have gentile curves that really love this clerarcoat finish. Plus, the fastback roofline combined with the modern blue has a hypnotic level of attraction. Like any good '40s classic there is plenty of intricate chrome, and with paintwork this nice, you better believe the brightwork is complete and restored to nearly the highest standard. That way you get to appreciate all the design touches like toothy Buick Eight grille, wraparound front bumper, iconic portholes on the fenders, sweeping profile trim, intricate rear bumper, and so much more that all have a mirror-like shine. In a package this complete, it's great to see the factory wheel covers inside the classic whitewall tires. While the exterior looks great, there was still plenty left in the restoration budget to get the interior looking fantastic, too. The seats, door panels, headliner, and carpeting were all recently restored in a coordinating gray cloth. But even items that are new never feel out of place. That's why when you slip behind the original Buick Super wheel with stylized center cap, it feels like a time machine back to 1949. The full gauge package looks amazing in an original art deco dashboard, and even the AM radio will still play your favorite easy driving tune.Remember, Buick Supers from this era had their hoods pivot and raise on both the passenger's and driver's side, which is always something that draws attention at car shows. Once the crowds start to gather, they'll marvel at the motor's spectacular presentation and its original-style condition. The 248 cubic-inch "Fireball" straight-eight looks amazing. The powerplant shows many signs of being original to the car, but it also hides a few nice secrets. This motor was rebuilt by a shop specializing in Packards (i.e. great at pre-war vehicles). You might not immediately see features like the rebuilt carburetor, electric fuel pump, or two six-volt batteries wired in parallel for better amperage, but these thoughtful features make it a great classic for the road. The three-on-the-tree manual transmission is easy to operate and gives you that great vintage feeling. From the undercarriage shots, you can also tell that the full restoration extended to the suspension, so this Super Sedanette floats down the road like a true classic Buick should. When a car is made to show off like this one, it's always great to see an investment in keeping it a comfortable driver, too. Complete with a reproduction owner's manual, you're looking at a cut-above classic that doesn't come around very often. So don't miss out on your chance, call today!
