Description

Hello! Up for sale is my 1985 Grand National with factory T Tops, power seat, windows, locks, cruise, rear defogger, and factory alarm that works but remote does not. I will try to explain as much about the vehicle as i can. Ask questions as i am sure i will miss something. I got the buick in not running condition as i was told it had not been on the road in many years. The first things done to the engine was the turbo was rebuilt. At this time i changed the intake and valve cover gaskets and put new O rings on the injectors. Oil change was done. New battery was installed. And new hood lift supports put in as well as a new heater core. New TPS and Mass Air sensors put on. The A/C does come on but cycles so must be low. Next I had both the front and rear seats recovered as they where in bad shape. I got the power seat working when the seats were out. The headliner was replaced with a new style backing with new headliner material and the upper door panels are also new. New dew wipers on both doors also is new. The doors open and shut very good. No sagging. The power door locks as well as the power windows work. A new driver door switch for windows was put in. The car has a digital display that is working. Also has a touch pad for climate control that works. The console is in good shape but does show its age a little. I had some dents repaired on the car and it still has some of the factory paint but i had the whole car touched up and clear coated to make it look new again. The paint is not perfect but is very nice. I also replaced the GN badges with genuine GM parts. I had most of the trim redone as it was chipping off real bad. The tires are brand new. New impact strip on front bumper as well. The power master brake system has been changed over to the standard G Body brake booster set up and brakes have been flushed. I have put 400 miles on it after all the work was done and it drives real good. Steering is nice and ride is very nice. The engine i also put in a new updated crank sensor and ignition control box and 180 thermostat. The exhaust i put in new seal at turbo but it has a leak by the manifold joint from turbo that is not real loud but can hear it. The engine runs well. it does surge at idle a little and when cold and on light throttle. i changed the plugs and wires and I replaced some vaccuum lines as well and it got better but still has some surging. I keep the car in a garage as i did not replace any weatherstripping except dew strips on doors. Which will need done as its 30 years old and is cracking. The bags for the T Tops are nice and in the trunk. I have all the books that go in the glove box like owners manual, warranty stuff, etc. In closing the car is not perfect. It has no visible rust. It looks really good. It drives nice. thanks for looking!
