NO RESERVE - Rare 1965 Buick Riviera With All Gran Sport OptionsRelisting due to inability to contact winning bidder of first auction. Listing a car on Ebay is not cheap; please be serious if bidding. Thanks.134k, 25 V8. Options include "hideaway" headlights, ir conditioning, ilt wheel, ower windows, osi rear, ear sway bar, ower brakes and power steering. Considered a "Gentleman's hot rod", his fully optioned Riv is a good looking, ast, ell optioned classic. This Riv has all the additional features of the Gran Sport edition (all power features, ngine size, xhaust, ual four barrel carburetor intakes, uspension, osi rear) but is not a GS as far as I know; if someone has info feel free to share. I did some research to confirm that the engine is the 425 Wildcat V8 (markings on block, tc).Rivieras from this era are steadily climbing in value, specially the 1963 through 1966 body styles. This is from Hagerty.com:"The leaner and meaner looking 1965 Riviera closed out the marque's first-design generation with newly stacked hidden headlamps, aillight units integrated into the rear bumper and optional chromed five-spoke wheels. 1965 Rivieras got added exterior panache with the 2x4-bbl. Super Wildcat engine. First generation Rivieras are enjoying a renewed appreciation. The rare—and truly high-performance—Super Wildcat 425is the most valued edition. At 425 cubic inches of displacement, t was rated at 360 horsepower and a monstrous 485ft/lbs. of torque, acked by the Super Turbine 400 transmission, nd is laid to the pavement by the 3.42 positraction rear end. Options on the 1965 Buick Riviera include: A/C, M/FM/Cassette, ower brakes, ower steering, ower seats, ower windows, ilt wheel, ositraction, eat belts, nti-theft system, inyl interior, hite walls, adial tires, nd rally wheels as well as a 3.42 posi equipped rear end, tiffer and heavy-duty suspension, nd slightly larger exhaust pipes. These first generation 63-66 Rivieras are steadily climbing in value, nd the ahead-of-its-time style is finally being appreciated."Mechanical: the Buick has always had regular maintenance have been performed on schedule by the original owner who had it since new until four years ago, 'm the third owner. I bought the Buick from the father of a soldier in Afghanistan, e told me his son had over $10k into the car. The previous owner "hot-rodded" the Buick, dding the vintage Offenhauser high rise dual intake (a $500 part), ual four barrel carburetors, shaker hood" air intake, EI ignition, ual Flowmaster 40's in a nice x-boxed, elded dual exhaust system and added the rear sway bar. I was told the motor has about 30k on it, t having been rebuilt by the original owner in the late 90's. I have the original intake, ill include for an additional $150.The power windows work perfectly as well as the hideaway headlight doors. The heater works, he a/c compressor is connected and will turn on but does not blow cold.Clock does not work, as gauge and horn can be finicky, odern CD/Ipod stereo in the dash. The front end will need new ball joints before Riv is highway driven, ill drive locally. All power windows work easily. All floors, runk and frame are solid, ever repaired. No leaks from anywhere, arage floor always dry when I pull her out.Cosmetic: The car was paintedaboutsix years ago in the original white, t'a nice and shiny. No body repair anywhere, he body and underside are clean and have never needed repair due to corrosion. There's a dent in the driver's rear quarter, was told it can be pulled out due to the solid, trong condition of the sheet metal. The wood inlays on the dash and doors are all there but need refinishing. New carpet in classic "loop" style. Dash has some sun cracking (I will include a Dashmat) but otherwise the interior is complete, ncluding all console parts including compartment doors.Late 90'sblack leatherGM seats are installed; driver's seat is power and needs to be hooked up. Original back seat is included, do not have the original front bucket seats.Modern interior looks OK in the car but i was hunting for the classic "low back" bucket seats common for this era and the rear seat does not have any rips, ust a few open seams and needs new padding. I was excited about getting her 100% until I found my new project, '61 Imperial which I couldn't pass up on. This is one mean Buick and if I could have kept both I would have. The chrome and brightwork are all in great shape. The pix are from when I bought the car last year; all the trim is back on it now.Overall she's very straight as you can see in the pix, ll the door close easily as well as the trunk and hood. The Buick starts right up even after sitting and the engine has a nice rumble through the Flowmaster dual exhaust. Runs very strong, he 425 V8 is VERY powerful and will spin the rear tires if you accelerate hard. The car brakes evenly with a nice hard pedal, o pulling or fading. She idles evenly, emperature needle never varies, hifts smoothly, racks straight and stops easily. Drive the Buick as is or bring her back to stock. A very dependable, ool old hot rod that's fun to take to car shows and can be used as a daily driver. I bought a set of nearly new, nly used for about 2000 miles classic aluminum "slot" style wheels (as seen in photos) for the Riviera, can include them for an additional $400.I reserve the right to end the auction early as the Buick is for sale locally and I'm open to reasonable buy it now offers as well. I can assist with shipping in the USA or internationally if necessary, ost of shipping to paid by buyer. I can recommend a door to door auto shipper I've used in the past; they're professional, eliable and have great rates.Cool, are highly optioned Riviera up for auction with NO RESERVE, op bidder gets her.Any questions feel free to email or call nine one four, 24, hree two three zero.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am also selling my ultra-rare, riple black 2002 Cadillac Eldorado ETCCoach Model, he last year for the Eldorado.84k, orthstar V8, very option including full coach top with power moonroof, ual climate control, eated leather seats, ose Stereo System with Satellite radio and 12 disc changer.Rare triple black (leather, ull size coach top, nd paint), orgeous, ully optioned ETC, econd owner, ow miles, emote starter, ides like new.
