Car description

A truly amazing vehicle. If you want room, omfort and power this is the car for you. Owned by the same St.Louisfamily up through November of 2014. It has been well maintained throughout its life, ithathick folderdocumenting work performed over the last two decades. The engine is powerful and quickly accelerates up to highway speeds, llowing the driver to pass with ease.Buick utilized the vaunted LT1 350 ciengine to power this car,the same engine used onCorvettes at the time. It was detuned to some degree, ut retains enough power tomove thewagon down the road at speeds well in excess of any posted limits. An added benefit is that it runs on unleaded regular instead of premium. We just returned from a trip that took usnorth out of St. Louis, hrough MN and MT, efore turning southwards in Jasper, anada. On the way home we took in Banff,Glacier National Park in Montana andMt. Rushmore in South Dakota. A distance in excess of 4,500 miles. The car performed flawlessly throughout, espite temperatures in excess of 90 degrees. The air conditioner keptfour adult passengers cool and comfortable on even the hottest days and longest legs.

The photo of the original window sticker details all the options. Of special note is the trailertowing package, hich allows it to haul up to 5,000 lbs. There has never been a trailer hitch installed. The dealer catalogfrom Buick's 1994 lineupis included, s well as the Haynes Automotive Repair Manualfor the do it yourselfer. The photos speak for themselves. On our recent trip we got numerous thumbs up from fellow travelers and often returned to the car to find people looking in the windows and wanting to talk to us about it. Our kids grew up loving station wagons, nd this isideal for the large family, ith seating for eight (legally). We performed the following maintenance ourselves before our last trip:

1. Engine oil & filter2. Engine air filter3. Spark plugs4. Front brake pads5. Fan belt6. Thermostat7. Wiper bladesCar averaged a low of 19 MPG into a 30 mph headwind and a high of 23 MPG on a 93 degree day with the A/C on, hile travelling in excess of 75 mph.General rule of thumb is a loss of 5-10% MPG for every 5 mph over 55 mph. We could have travelled more efficiently, ut were more interested in making good time. Travel around town will get you in the mid to upperteens.A couple of flaws to highlight, ome with pictures. There is a scuff mark on the underside of the front left bumper about five inches in length. Not really noticeable unless you are looking for it and stoop. There is also a crack in the fiberglass fascia enclosing the back bumper, n the right corner. This is noticeable, ut not until you are about 5 feet away. The last significant thing to mention is that both the windows in the middle row operate, ut come offtheir track when youraise them. You have to use your hand to guide the window and keep it in track when closing it. Two small rock chips on the front windshield, ut they are stable and survived the long road trip without incident. This is a great car for long road trips or hauling the gang around town. Interior isa 9 out of 10 and the exterior paint and trim are also a 9 out of ten, llowing for the defects I noted above. The car really has a bright shine and appears to have been garaged all its life. No fading, ips, ears or smells in the interior. The driver and front passenger have six way adjustable seats to maximize their comfort. The leather is soft and supple. I keep my garage in pristine condition with a painted floor. I have yet to see a drop of fluid under the vehicle. We used zero oil on our Canadian adventure. I am located out at Scott AFB, few miles east of St. Louis, O. Happy to answer any questions unless you are asking about the reserve price.
