Car description |
---|
1970 BMW 1602 completely upgraded (engine (w/ E12 head) and brakes) to 2002. Third owner, had it since 1982. California car until 1989, then moved to NYC where I drove it on weekends, garaged in Maryland since 2004. Requires restoration, but drives.
Suspension Technique springs, 19mm sway bars front and rear with polyurethane bushings, negative camber plates, 46mm intake valves on E12 head, tii exhaust manifold, tii distributor, electronic ignition. Bilstein sports up front, Konis in the rear, 320i cloth seats (need re-upholstering), 320i retractable seat belts, triple core radiator. Weber 32/36 DGAV carburetor. A real Mustang killer in its day.
Lots of extras, including trim and extra grill, and a pair of 45 Weber DCOEs with manifold. Two new tires, two really old (plus spare). One new fender, the other is rusty. I would replace the old tires before I drove it any distance.
Rust in many of the usual places, especially right quarter panel and rocker panels. No rust (except surface rust) underneath car or in shock towers! Floor looks very good, but rust in spare wheel well. See pictures for all the gory bits. Electrics mostly work, but you'll have a few repairs to do. Needs carpeting and interior work.
Moving, must sell!
