European Motor Studio is excited to offer this 1985 BMW E24 635CSi 5-Speed Coupe finished in Alpine White over Pearl Beige leather. This E24 left the production line in October of 1984 and was invoiced to BMW North America where it was then delivered to Frank Hilson BMW of Fort Lauderdale and sold new to its first owner in the amount of $41,765. The first owner sold the car to the second owner in February 1990 where it then moved... to Atlanta Georgia and would stay with the second owner until the 2014. This 635 is wearing its original Alpine White paint (which has been paint metered and verified) aside from the front lower skirt which has been painted. The paint shows very well for the cars age with only a couple minor stone chips in the front nose and a small chip on the rear quarter panel. The paint still retains a very nice luster and finish. Excellent body panel fitment still looks factory and no signs of any prior damage and no rust anywhere on the car. The glass is all original down to the original BMW emblems and factory sticker still on the front windshield. The black rubber shows well for the cars age with a few spots showing some dry areas. The interior is all original and shows very well. The leather seats are in excellent condition with some lite creasing on the driver seat bolster and lower cushion but no tears or scuffing. The carpets are in nice condition with very little wear and the center console and door panels are all in excellent condition. The dashboard does have a couple cracks, mainly in the corners around the defrost vents (pics shown). All of the switchgear appears to be completely original and in excellent condition. BMW's tried and true straight 6 3.5 liter engine is found under the hood of this E24 and runs absolutely fantastic. The plugs and wires have just been done along with a fluid and filter service. The engine pulls very strong and free from any smoke on start up or acceleration. The gearbox feels excellent and free from any synchro or clutch issues. Brakes and suspension feel excellent and free from any noises or issues. This 635 has had many recent maintenance items addressed. A brand new Ansa exhaust and catalytic convertor has just been put on the car, along with brand new Michelin TRX tires and the original factory metric wheels have just bene refinished. Within the last 4 years, this BMW has had the speed sensor and crankshaft sensor replaced, all fluids and filters flushed and replaced, front and rear pads, rotors and calipers with new sensors, new brake hoses, clutch slave cylinder, new rear subframe bushings, new rear pitman arms, swaybar links and bushings. The engine fuel hoses and vacuum hoses have been replaced, new water pump, thermostat and sending unit, new radiator and hoses, drive belts, power steering hoses, front swaybar link, new inner and outer tie rods, steering arm, pitman arm and all ball joints, center link, idler arms, strut rods, bushings and control arms all replaced and new oil pan gasket. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed (the power antenna does not work, although you can hear the motor working). The AC blows ice cold with a fresh vacuum and recharge just completed. The windows, locks, sunroof, power seats (the driver rear seat back does get stuck sometimes) the power mirrors, original factory BMW radio, onboard computer, check system and service lights are all functioning. Accompanied with the sale of this E24 are the original factory owners handbooks, service records and registration cards dating back to 1990, an original BMW key, the original window sticker, a complete tool kit and a clean and clear Carfax and title.
