BMW 323i BAUR 1983

BMW 323i 1983 rare BAUR Edition,Coming out of long time storage ( since 1998),Engine, 6 cylinders fuel Injection, 5 speed manual transmission,Car turns and runs, brakes and clutches and shifts very well.It would need a tune up and cleaning of gas tank and delivery lines to ensure proper reservicing.Very limited rust in 8 defined areas while the rest of the car is is in very solid and exceptional condition, Upon request I can send pictures showing these areas and condition of the rest of the car and underbody. Being storaged in a underground skyrise building explains the localized rust and car overall very well preserved condition.
Interior is very clean with no cracks on dashboard which is unusual for these models, the engine bay is also free of rust in the usual areas these cars are know to deteriorate.
"BAUR" Edition is more common in Europe which is a targa style body added to a coupe by BAUR firm for BMW that did not initially have a convertible version of this model. The targa roof is in good condition and seats under the trunk for storage while the rear canvas folding soft top is also in good condition while the plastic glass as one crack and is faded. The tool kit is in the trunk with the proper spare and jack and original soft top cover.
My son purchased the car to restore 3 years ago and ended up moving to California.
