Car description

Pristine 1992 BMW 535i - 2nd owner, 74,200 miles

Black exterior on mint condition dove grey interior

BMW enthusiast adult owned, low mileage, mechanically flawless, all original example of one of the most handsome 5 series to date with the highly coveted and reliable 3.5 liter V6 under the hood. As it can be seen from the photographs, this E34 is in pristine condition inside and out. Complete safety and mechanical inspections were performed on this vehicle as part of my ownership and reconditioning process. Everything works, no leaks, always starts, exceptionally powerful and quiet.... can be driven anywhere. Clear title in hand.

Vehicle history

The 1st and prior owner bought the vehicle in 1991 from BMW Fife (I have a copy of the original window sticker). Always garaged and meticulously maintained inside and out, driven on average less than 3,000 miles per year.

A few months ago, after 28 years of ownership, the elderly owner hit a mailbox at low speed which cracked the original windshield (reported to CarFax) and superficially scraped the passenger side.

Rather than deal with fixing at 82 years old, he sold it with the broken windshield which I had professionally replaced by a premium auto glass installation company used by local BMW dealership (cost ~$800 including OEM parts/seals). Some minor cosmetics from the mailbox have been repaired with the highest standards. The only cosmetic imperfection is it slipped of the jack stand but that's a simple fix which I haven't done yet (see photos).

As a car guy that's a perfectionist, I immediately took it to a high end motorsports shop which specializes in Porsches & BMW's. They performed a full inspection and I paid to make it perfect as my family would need to ride in it with me.

I drive this every few days around town to keep it well maintained so mileage may be slightly higher at time of actual sale but certainly will be less than 75,000 miles. I am not making money on selling this car, I own 4 vintage automobiles and just purchased another last week so am simply making room in the driveway. As I hope you can tell from the description, I am very transparent as I've bought many cars and appreciate this level of honesty when making an investment.

3rd owner will acquire a handsome, rare, low-mileage, well-kept classic BMW that simply no longer exists anywhere in the country at this price point and vehicle history. My hope is it goes to someone who will maintain the high standards of ownership it has benefited from for the last 28 years.

Thank you for looking and please let me know if you have any questions. I will not respond to "is it still available?" as I will remove posting upon sale. Vehicle is listed locally so I may end auction early unless purchased through 'buy it now'.
