Car description |
---|
This unique E30 M3 has been tastefully upgraded and lovingly maintained by its second owner over the past 20+ years. In 2008, he chose to undertake a performance rebuild of the already robust S14 DOHC four. A well known E30 driver and restorer was tasked w/rebuilding the car's powerplant to 2.5L BMW Motorsport EVO specification, along with upgrading the exhaust, brakes and suspension to complement the increase in power. The $30k+ engine rebuild featured the best components available, including a new OEM cylinder head machined to Sport EVO specs, forged 11:1 pistons, Sport EVO crank, Schrick titanium valvetrain, S14 shim under bucket kit, Schrick E30 M3 284 degree cam, BMW Motorsport rally throttle housings, Sport EVO fuel injectors, MAXX Alpha programmable engine management system and a carbon fiber plenum and snorkel. The result was a nearly 30% increase in power from a stock 192 to 248 as dyno'd at the rear wheels. Brembo front brakes provide the stopping power while the chassis rides on 17" Apex ARC-8 wheels shod w/Yokahoma S Drive radials with plenty of tread. Double adjustable Konis are at all four corners along with H&R Sport springs and an H&R front sway bar. A McAdams 50/50 header coupled with a Turner Motorsport race exhaust completes the total performance package.
This rust-free M3 is finished in desirable Alpine White that's in excellent condition. There are no dings, dents or other imperfections except for an extremely small chip on the driver's door. Small stone chips are present on the front valance and leading edge of the hood from normal use. The CARFAX is clean and consistent paint meter readings show no evidence of any paintwork. There is a two-stage carbon fiber wing installed but the original classic M3 deck lid spoiler is included. The OEM checkered flag decals from the E36 M3L are in good condition and can be easily removed.
The interior is finished in BMW's classic Anthracite leather and is in overall excellent condition. Both front seats & headrests have recently been reupholstered using OEM leather and appear virtually new. The rear seats show very little use and appear original. There are no visible cracks on the dash and the headliner is excellent with no sagging, spots or tears. All interior trim pieces are undamaged and function as intended. There is an upgraded stereo and the A/C has been converted to R134a and blows ice cold. All original manuals, trunk-mounted tools and the original spare are present along with most service and maintenance records. A recent service included a brake fluid flush, coolant flush and drive belt replacement along w/an oil and filter change. A new battery was installed in January of 2018 and is documented as under warranty. There is a clean AZ title in the seller's name and inspections are welcome at our Scottsdale storage location.
