Car description

You probably know it was the 2800 motor that began BMW's streak of racing wins in Europe. Later the motor was bored out to 3.0 and new versions of the car came out like the fuel injected CSi and the CSL with aluminum panels and other modifications. With these upgrades the racing wins continued.
So this 2800 with its original matching motor is no slouch. We considered having Steve at Top End Performance install his awesome loom hook up with three downdraft Webers so it would kick butt off any CSi out there. But we're leaving it as is for now, and if you buy it the way it is you can always do whatever upgrades you want to later.
As many people say, the e9's are the most beautiful coupes BMW ever built. I'm one of them but I'm partial - I bought my first CS back in the late 70s.This e9 has new Polaris 2 stage paint, bumpers and chrome pieces all triple chromed, fresh leather, re-veneered wood, new headliner, carpets, trunk furniture, tool box, blower motor, upgraded cold AC, new tires - whatever this car needed, it got, and in the motor compartment as well. And as the photos show, the underside was also carefully detailed.
All the important items such as fuel, brake and exhaust systems were restored. Brakes and calipers were done. The motor is strong with equal compressions. Carbs were rebuilt. Everything about this car was attended to and it only has test miles since it was completed.
As you know the e9 values are going nowhere but up. So if you've been looking for a good one with a totally solid body, bid on this car. It started life as a CSA and interior photos were taken while it was still an automatic. And as for CSA upgrades, there's one for sale now that has been upgraded to a CSL clone, others have the 3.5 conversions. So a lot you can do if you ever want to. If you have any questions please call me. Thanks!
