BMW 735i

Engine runs strong - car is very driveable. But I would redo some front end connections before you drive this daily. After this you can take your time with your project as it should drive well. There was a top end rebuild of the engine with many items replaced. Here is the list from the prior owner in the last 5 years of ownership...

-New head gasket and machined head
-Valve job
-New thermostat
-New camshaft
-New power steering pump
-Replaced three new OEM rubber exhaust rings
-Replaced front rotors and break pads
-Replaced rear rotors and break pads
-Replaced radiator and hoses
-Replaced coolant reservoir
-Replaced coolant expansion tank
-Automatic transmission flush and replaced filter
-Replaced steering box assembly
-Replaced both front outer tie rod ends and bushings ( these are shot and need to be replaced again - probably replace with aftermarket and failed ) ( front end is wobbly somewhat )
-Replaced both front lower control arms and bushings( these are shot and need to be replaced again -- probably replace with aftermarket and failed) ( front end is wobbly somewhat )
-Replaced timing chain guides
-Replaced upper and lower timing chain covers and gaskets
-Replaced camshaft oil seal
-Valve cover gasket
-Replaced original wheels with 2004 BMW 745i wheels
-Brand new rear tires within a year
-Battery was replaced a year ago
-Paint was redone back in 2013
-Rear bilstein shocks
-Replaced front window glass with OEM built in heating element (Expensive)
-Replaced OEM fog lights and lower grille inserts
-Replaced OEM Hella headlights and high beam lights
-Amazingly the interior dash, center console, and door panels appears to be in very good condition!
-I only have one key!

The above all appear to be true but cannot guarantee! The prior owner appeared and has proven to be an honest fellow but again no guarantees. You are buying this car as is!

Here are some cons but not limited to...

-The front seats were custom installed to replace the faulty BMW seats that twist. These are not power assist. You will need purchase original seats separately if you want it stock. If you are a tall person you will need to replace these right away as they are very high and cannot be adjusted. I am 5'-10" and my head is touching the headliner. Back seat has a tear and the headliner also sags a little.
-The back seat is pretty well worn with tears
-The onboard computer doesnt work.
-The car front end will need some work before you drive this daily. I dont think it super serious but will need some linkage replaced - I took a look underneath and to the best of my knowledge, you will need to replace

On both sides of the vehicle.

-There some leaks coming from the engine. Unsure from where exactly. The last owner thought it was from the rear main seal but it appears like it is coming from the front of the engine.
-Rear window has old tint and it is very well worn, rest of the windows had the tint removed.
-The car has parking lot dents and door dings.
-Drivers door lock sticks when you unlock the car. Replacing the lock actuator should fix this.
-Driver window needs a window regulator
-A/C does not work and needs the A/C compressor replaced at the least probably - not sure.
-Check brake light and check parking brake light comes on from time to time but lights are working fine.
-Prior owner put a new paint job on it and it is an inexpensive paint job. It looks OK and if you garage the vehicle it might last 5 years or more.
