Our classic BMW E30 has been in the family for about 5 years. 3rd owners, I believe.Very well maintained. Absolutely no body rust. Runs and drives beautifully!
In the last year the following maintenance items have been replaced:
- radiator- thermostat- water pump- gaskets and hoses
Last 2 yrs:
- new starter- blower motor
At 97k mi.
- new timing belt and related gaskets and seals- wiper motor rebuilt- gauge cluster removed. odometer and speedometer rebuilt or repaired- all heater hoses and drive belts- transmission mount- intake boot- guibo- Flex disc
Over $4,500 worth of receipts in the past 4 years.All this in addition to regular oil changes and new brakes at all the normal service intervals.
We trusted this car to get my young niece around town dependably and it's been taken very good care of. Starts right up every time doesn't blow any smoke or burn oil. Transmission shifts smooth and flawlessly.
Some major Cosmetics have been addressed in anticipation of selling. Reupholstered the damaged area on the back seat. Looks like new now. Original manual top is in fantastic condition. This car has spent most of its life in that garage and it shows!Just returned from the body shop and has a brand new base coat/clear coat paint job. Absolutely NOT due to any collision damage. There was just some clear coat failure on the trunk and I was giving a great deal on a complete paint job from a friend of the family. This car looks gorgeous.All accessories work as expected. Lights, turn signals, wipers and power windows. Air conditioning has been converted to R134a and blows cold. Tires have at least 80% tread on them an original BBS basketweave wheels are in excellent condition without curb rash. All three keys and most of the factory manuals still with this car.
