Car description |
---|
This car is a low mileage 3.0 CS. The car was upgraded by the original owner with new radiator and electric cooling fans, Alpina header exhaust system (which rusted out and I replaced with a Coupe King stainless, plated header exhaust system), solid state ignition, and dual Weber Carburetor upgrade. The original owner moved the gasoline filler inboard to the trunk and modified the rear quarter panel to eliminate the gas door. The original owner had the car painted a dark blue over the original silver. In addition the original owner installed a sport steering wheel, and magnesium wheels. The original owner replaced all the brakes, calipers, pistons, brake hoses, coolant hoses and tires prior to sale. Air conditioning is not working however the compressor, dryer, etc are present on the car.
I bought the car as an investment and replaced the steering linkage, crossover bearing, and rear transmission bushing, in addition to the rusted out exhaust system. I rewired the ignition system, replaced relays, replaced the ignition switch, chased all the electrical shorts, and repaired the electric windows. I have taken the car to a sports car rally, and various cars-n-coffee.
This car has one small spot of rust at the right front quarter panel and the rest is rust free. I have done my part and I am only interested in getting a small return on my investment. With a some cosmetic work this car can return the next owner a much larger return on their investment.
