Car description

Original Owner 1988 325i BMW Convertible

VIN no. WBABB2302J1945552

This is anoriginal owner sale, of a beautiful cruiser, automatic with "sport" mode, excellent and original throughout with 180,000 miles - ready for that much and more if you maintain it like I have. This is a strong and solid car that drives like new. No original owner car in the country that comes close. See it and you'll buy it on the spot.

I purchased my car new in San Francisco in 1988, serviced through warranty by San Francisco BMW and then by BMW Specialists at Phaedrus in San Francisco for fifteen years. I brought it up here when I retired, a treasure to all who see it - but between weather and age (mine), she has been a garage queen for the last ten years. Serviced and maintained throughout, heated garage, covered and on a battery tender. If you know the series - they came with Goodyear Eagles and a harsh ride, I went to smooth running Pirellis now (less than 3000 miles on them now) and top of the line Bilstein Shocks. She's a cruiser - not a hotrod. I replaced the canvas top some years ago, it and the window are perfect. Other than that it is all original, has the excellent original stainless steel exhaust, and it has never been wreaked. Leather and paint are in excellent condition and it does literally run like new. I have all manuals and an OEM BMW cover. And yes - it has it's original AM/FM cassette player and the dealer installed original gooseneck phone, state of the art back then. It's all intact but analog is long gone and you might want to attach a mount to the gooseneck for your iPhone. I like the car looking period perfect.

As a garage queen and being driven less than 300 miles a year on special occasions - my son and I do our own annual synthetic oil service (Mobil 1). Never has burned a drop of oil. If you are going to drive her regularly and live up here in the Seattle-area, I would highly recommend servicing at Strictly BMW in Bellevue. I had a major service done there when I first moved up. If you are on the Olympic Peninsula I'd recommend MaxRPM Motorsports in Bremerton. Owner Alex Raphael knows the car well and is brilliant.

For those of you who do not know the series, the factory sprayed a yellowish protectorant over the entire engine otherwise gorgeous engine, I have kept it as delivered. Also worth noting, besides a current photo of the engine and the odometer, you'll also see a photo documenting the timing belt service, a very major service and a new radiator, with date. The car had 162,000 miles when done by Phaedrus BMW in San Francisco in 2005. When I retired and move back up here I made several trips to California - and from that point on, this beauty has been a garage queen and driven less the 300 miles a year.

I have studied the market, to my knowledge this is the only original owner BMW 325i convertible with a fully documented history. When you see it you'll recognize that the mileage does not tell the whole story.

I hope for a local sale in the greater Seattle-area, will of course sell to the highest bidder wherever you are, will be happy to show the car to any serious buyer and will be glad to answer any questions via e-mail. Payment terms; Cash, Cashiers Check, or Wire Transfer to my account at Wells Fargo Bank. Pink slip to be released when Wells Fargo has received/cleared payment mechanism.

Will help arrange shipping at buyers expense.
