Car description |
---|
1984 BMW 325e coupe manual transmission with 219k miles. Passed California smog each time (twice) since I've owned it. Clear title, California compliant car, no accidents, no drivability issues, runs like a champ.
I love driving this car, it reminds me of a time when driving was fun, man and machine. It's agreat everyday, weekend, or project car. I originally bought it as a project car to restore it but I went with restro-mod (restoration + modifications).
The only mods are adjustable coilovers (shocks and springs combo), aftermarket steering wheel, aftermarket wheels, aftermarket Pioneer bluetooth radio, aftermarket Pioneer rear 6x9 speakers, light bar (underneath front bumper), and aftermarket rear taillights, everything else is factory specs. Yakima roof rack with Swagman bike racks may not be included within the purchase of the car, please see below for further details.
All the outer trim (side mirrors, rubber seals, bumper parts, etc) have been plasti-dipped black and the door panels plasti-dipped blue which have some wear that you can either respray or remove the plasti-dip. Car has a few dings and scratches, nothing major, overall the paint is good and shiny, I wash and wax regularly, no rust, car is parked inside the garage.
I'm selling the car because I'm buying a home and need to save money, my loss your gain, I wish I could finish my project car and keep it forever but I have new priorities.
If you purchase the car at the buy it now price I will include the following items:* 14" factory base model (bottle cap) wheels including a spare, 5 wheels total* Yakima roof rack with a pair of Swagman bike racks* Remanufactured e36 power steering rack with adapter kit (not installed)* New pair of steering rack rods (not installed)* New pair of rear wheel bearings (not installed)* New water pump (not installed)* Transmission rubber mounts (not installed) (current ones look good tho)* Can of blue plasti-dip for touch-up of interior door panels* Misc e30 parts
Already installed (new parts):Fuel injectors (remanufactured)Fuel pump (in-tank + inline)FPR (fuel pressure regulator)Spark plugsSpark plug wiresGuiboMotor mountsFront lower control armsFront lower control arm ball jointsFront sway bar end linksFront and rear stainless steel brake linesFront and rear brake rotors and padsRadiatorCoolant overflow tankFront and rear shocks and springs (adjustable coilovers)
Good:Odometer worksPower sunroof worksPower windows worksWheels (Aodhan AH05 16x8) arein excellent conditionContinental ExtremeContact DW (225/50/16) with 80% tread
Bad:* Leaking power steering rack so I pulled the steering belt off so currently there's no power steering, it's more fun driving without power steering anyways and less power draw on the engine* Right wheel bearing is squeaky* Right window railing mechanism makes grinding noise when you fully close the window, gearing just needs to be replaced* AC blows semi-cold, not strong enough for summer, probably needs new AC dryer and new AC pump, original AC equipment installed* Small rip on drivers seat bottom* Rear window defroster does not work* Small coolant leak from water pump gasket, a drop or two when parked* Small oil leak from lower oil pan gasket, a drop or two when parked
