Car description

For Sale, 1990 BMW 325i Convertible E30. an M20B25, 5 speed Manual Transmission, and 3.73LSD (factory equipped, winter package!)
Exterior :
The original Glacier Blue Metallic paint is totally faded. Driver's side door and rear quarter panel have been repainted at some point. (PO said it was over something very minor and I do not see evidence of filler or any repair)
All original panels. Body is VERY straight. Panel fitment is excellent!
Only a few tiny dings on either side and one small bend on the front edge of the hood. Could be an easy respray!
NO rust at all! Always a California car. The underside is totally straight and free from damage or repair.
Manual opening Dunkelblau soft top is in decent shape however the rear window was sewn in at some point (poorly, with shoestring, duct tape and glue...)
All 4 Power windows work well and the glass is in very good shape aside from a couple tiny rock chips on the windshield.
Original key works in all doors and ignition. Power locks work well too!
Interior:
Original Indigo leather seat covers are totally shot. Driver's side reclining mechanism is stuck but luckily it is in a comfortable position. Heated seats don't work.
Rear view mirror and glove box latch fell off (included with car), fan blower motor doesn't work and trunk lid lift shocks are blown. hood release cable is broken.
There is duct tape residue on the rear tray and one rear door card.
Original blue carpet looks nice aside from a hole when your left heel sits while driving
Door cards are nice overall, there is one tear in the leather on the driver's side and both sides are pulled away at the edges
Aftermarket SONY head unit plays CD's and has an AUX in, sounds surprisingly good!
Dashboard is beautiful however there is one small crack in the corner of the tray that is only visible through the windshield from outside the car (sorry perfectionists!)
Mechanical:
Engine starts right up every time. Idles a bit rough for about 30 seconds on cold starts but runs great after it warms up. No record of last time timing belt was replaced and it sounds like valves need adjusted, highly recommend next owner go through the engine bay and catch up on maintenance!
Transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears and reverse. Never had a problem grinding or popping out of gears.
Drive line spins quietly, without vibrations even at highway speeds. Outer CV boots are torn and should replaced soon as the CV joints currently work fine.
LSD doesn't chatter in tight turns, spins quietly and seems to still do its job well after all this time.Clutch grips perfectly and there are no throw out bearing noises.
There are no no major oil leaks coming from any part of the engine/drive line.
Suspension/steering feels solid and the brakes work well. Power steering/AC belt was removed and never bothered replacing it because I liked the feel of no power steering.
Recent Maintenance:
front control arms with ball joints and bushingsinner/outer tie rodsbilstein OE replacement shocks front/rearshock mounts front/rearbrake rotors/pads
(all replaced by PO 5 years/est. 20k miles ago)
motor mountstransmission mountsflex disk and center support bearingspark plugs, wires, cap and rotorBMW weighted shit knob
(all replaced with new OEM parts 2 years/2k miles ago)
NEW Falken 612 tires mounted last week!
I purchased the car little over 2 years ago from an older lady who owned the car most of its life. It had been driven regularly all of its life (odo is broken and reads 222k miles, PO said its likely close to 250k by now) I drove the car only on occasion which maybe added up to 2,000 miles in the last 2 years. I planned on restoring and keeping this car for a long time. I am only selling because I no longer have a good place to store it. Another project is taking priority so instead of letting it sit under a tree outside, I'd rather pass this car on to someone that will enjoy it.
Remember this is a 27 year old car and sold as is.
My asking price was carefully considered and non-negotiable. I accept PayPal or cash in person.
Clean Title. Registration is current! Come get it, drive it home!
