Car description

Selling our 2800 CS e9 project car..... Motivated seller!!!!...... Already 100+ views and 10 watchers1 Don't be afraid to send in an offer. This car has been off the road since the mid 1980's. It has changed hands at least twice over the years here locally in northern Ca. and was stored indoors and out. It was originally purchased in Berkley Ca. in mid 1970 (still has partial dealer frame bolted to the black plates). The car runs and drives and can be driven easily on to a trailer or shipper. The car has a relatively straight and rust free body. It does have some small rust issues in the lower inner fender well areas (totally fixable). At some point the car was completely "soda" stripped and then seal primed, but it sat so long that some un-primed areas have surface rusted. Again, the body is not rusted out. The exterior has no rust that I can see including the window channels, rockers, 1/4's, trunk, doors, hood etc. This is a dry, inland California car. The tinted glass is still in the doors and 1/4's. Rear glass is loose. All 5 original wheels are included (the spare is in the trunk). The loose small parts are in totes along with the original bucket seats, interior trim, door panels etc. (See pics). The car was partially disassembled like so many people do when they have intentions of restoring/repainting. Unfortunately along the way, it wasn't very well cared for and the windshield, front bumper, and most of the exterior stainless has been misplaced. I have since tracked down a previous owner who thinks he may still have the bumper and stainless in storage. At this time the car is being listed and sold WITHOUT those parts. I will keep trying to pursue them until the car sells and would pass anything along at my cost to recover them. This car deserves to be restored but it is not the right time for me to be the one to do it. Make no mistake, it needs a full restoration. But once it's finished, they are such a beautiful car. This would be a good candidate for a "resto-mod" style car as you won't be altering a 3.0 CS. Also I believe it was originally Fjordbleu in color (see underhood pic). E9-Driven.com shows this car to be one of 415 produced for the US in 1970. Our VIN falls within the sequence listed as well. I follow the BMW market closely and feel I have priced the car according to it's current condition, but will entertain reasonable offers. Please ask questions up front and I will do my best.
