Awesome article about my BMW Collection |
This E34 M5 is a special sled indeed!
Dinan 3.9L Stroker S38 engine!! Super rare option to find, as Dinan no longer makes / offers this kit. I have the PDF doc of the original Dinan specs:- $16,000 + $5,500 core charge- 94.6mm Bore; 92mm Stroke- 10.2:1 compression- Horsepower = 341 @ 6,000RPM- Torque = 348 @ 4,500RPM.- Billet Crankshaft, Forged Pistons, Balanced & Blueprinted.
This car was babied and garaged (heated). Only took her out about once a month; always highway miles; never pushed hard; never driven during winter. Completely clean CarFax / AutoCheck; no accidents or issues. Chassis / body is arrow straight! OEM Self-leveling suspension was completely redone with BMW Parts 1-year ago. Always serviced by best BMW mechanic in WI. Highly desirable Black on Black option with Throwing Stars and Grey Carpet. Full Stainless SuperSprint exhaust (header-back). I've never once had a mechanical problem with her. All electronics and on-board computers work. Has original spare, tool kit (blue towel), radio, CD player, etc.
Also selling my beloved E30 M3, as well as a special E30 325iS, here on AutoTrader. Please call/email with any Q's, or to inquire about a package deal. Only selling my classic Bimmers because I've had all of them for almost 15-years now, and it's just time to move on. This is a very special car that absolutely obliterates mile after mile; you just want to keep driving her. The cabin is a very solid / luxurious place to be, even by today's standards. I feel the E34 M5 is the absolute best of the breed - and Richard Hammond of Top Gear agrees with me (S03E02) - but often gets lost between the 1st gen. (E28) & 3rd gen. (E39) M5's. However, with this Dinan engine in her I think this car is hands down head and shoulders above them all! It's very important for me that she goes to a good home; somebody who will drive her and baby her, not just let her sit.
