Car description

This BMW 318ic is in very good condition. Looks, uns and operates Very Well. the body is very tight and does not rattle squeak or have any other abnormal noises. It does not smoke or leak any fluids. The only noise is when the windows are down, hey will rattle a bit on hard bumps in the door. The body is in good shape with a few exceptions which I have photographed. The dash has no cracks and it original. Two spots of rust which are small just above the rear bumper at each corner. a inch or two area each which needs to be fixed. I have since painted the spots with rustolium black glossy paint. looks better than the photos, ut needs attention. The paint is mostly shiny but needs to be detailed on the hood. I have started to polish it and the shine has come back on the half I got to work on. I have not finished as I live in Philadelphia, A and the car is and has been in a storage garage, ear Bar Harbor, aine since last November.I bought the car in California, s I had been looking for a rust free car. It was not driven in the Snow in Philadelphia so it has seen very little poor weather elements. It was original imported and bought in NJ and then went west after the first few years. It was purchased from a mechanic that worked for a BMW repair shop. A friend searched for and found this car, t the shop that took care of his, int E30, 3. He replaced and repaired many things and I was given a stack of receipts for parts and repairs. The car will be available for pickup from August 22 to August 30 in Maine, n Mount Dessert Island. This car does not include the hardtop seen in a few of the pictures. The hardtop has been sold.Repairs and replacements in the last 30,000 miles include but not limited to:New clutch and fly wheelNew timing beltNew front crank shaft gasketMajor tune up within the last 10,000 milesNew radiatorNew cooling system hosesNew water pump and beltsNew shocks on all 4 wheels (Bilstein's) and shock mounts - ride is solid and firm but not rock hardNew steering rack, way bar links and ball jointsNew power steering hosesNew brake discs and padsValve cover and pinion sealsAll air hosesOxygen sensorintake and exhaust gasketsRear differential was replaced with Limited Slip from a 325Newly reupholstered black leather front Recaro seats and the rear seatI recently changed the wheels to basket weave style with new hubs and there is about 3000 miles on new tiresThis car runs as well as it sounds like it should. The top goes up and down well and has a water tight canvas top. There are a couple of worn spots which are in the photos, ut I have not noticed any leaking. There is a bit of a leak where the top meets the windshield on the drivers side. I had a hard top for this and it had the same leak in a storm, rom a certain direction. I did not figure it out and I did not have much of a problem with it. There are a couple of very minor things to attend to. Need to replace rear window button switch on console and the rear view mirror control acts up at times. The display for the computer screen can not be seen well.It is being sold as is.Contact me if you have any questions. The car will be available for pickup from August 22 to August 30 in Maine, n Mount Dessert Island.
