Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this well-kept and extremely fun to drive 1979 MG Midget convertible sports car. This car has just had approximately $2000 spent on mechanical and cosmetic upgrades not counting some extensive restoration work done prior to the current owner's acquisition. The 4 cylinder engine has been previously rebuilt. A sport exhaust system has been installed. The master cylinder was recently rebuilt door seals replaced along with window cranks side marker lights and several other noticeable things have been replaced as needed included instrument lenses. The exterior showcases an exceptional repaint in the original brown color while the interior retains factory components and seating also in excellent condition. The black vinyl soft top fastens securely into place and is in good condition as well. This is just an attractive car inside and out.

The mechanicals and cosmetics are strong.

The brown finish is correct for the car repainted to original. The body condition is very good to excellent throughout. The brown hue really fits this car and the era of its production.

The black vinyl snap soft top is easy to retract raise and fasten into place.

This is an extremely fun car to drive. The exhaust system has an excellent sound to it. Be sure and play our video of this car in action.

The interior showcases classic brown upholstery & bucket seating. This is a true little European/British sports car.

The dash and instruments show well throughout. The speedometer & tachometer are functional as is the original AM pushbutton stereo. The rear speaks have been replaced with updated units see photos below.

The door panels are in very good condition and the door undersides are solid.

Under the hood is the previously rebuilt 4 cylinder engine. This power plant churns out approximately 65 horsepower and is paired with the sweet-shifting synchro-mesh 4-speed manual transmission.

Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal original sheet metal and decals throughout the firewall inner fenders and core support. This is a dry climate MG and it shows.

The undercarriage is a further indicator of the dry climate status of this '79 MG Midget. The underbody looks to be in good condition front to back.

The trunk is also in very good condition.
