I believe I am the third US owner of this car and I have had it since August 2011. I put on new master cylinders for the brakes and clutch. a water pump. and new timing chain. The carb has been rebuilt and the car always starts right up. This cab was last used in London in 1973 and still has its proof of insurance. fare card. and advertisements intact. The good: Almost all FX4 cabs came with the diesel engine but this one came with the Austin 2199cc petrol engine. This is very similar to the engine the Austin Healey 100-4 uses. I am not sure what immediate differences there are besides the intake manifold and carbs. Car drives well through all of the gears and the clutch works perfectly. The bad: The fuel tank had holes in it and I have never gotten around to installing one. I have been using a hanging fuel tank for testing engines. The bottle does not come with the car but can be used for driving the car up onto a trailer. The two front tires are newer and the rear passenger tire has a lot of cracking however they all hold pressure and do not leak. Parts for this car are sold in the US by Kip Motors in Texas. you can find their website on Google.
