Car description |
---|
1953 Austin sheerline limousine,
Very Rare car that had a Rolls Royce Conversion done, Including Front Grill, Hubcaps and a few Rolls royce badges.
The car was restored many years ago and has been always stored in a dry heated gargage . Previously the car was owned by a well known Jeweler that used the car for weddings.I purchased this car in 2006 and have stored it in my heated shop since then.
The engine has a tag on it showing it being rebuilt in London, could use a Carburetor rebuild after sitting for those years.
The brakes work well, however the e-brake doesnt work.
The paint was done years ago and looks good. There are a few thin spots in the clear coat due to polishing over the years. Has some rust bubbles on the lower doors ( not thru) just under paint
The interior was completely Reupholstered in Leather and Wool Broadcloth, and grey carpeting in trunk. Jump seats all done in leather as well.
Headliner and Divider in excellent condition, Door panels and all wood is in excellent condition.
When you open the doo, You have that great smell of leather as it should.
Lights, Turn signals ( Semaphore, Heater, Wing windows, and gauges all work except the gas gauge.
Overall the car is very presentable, and with a little TLCthis would make a great vehicle to use for weddings, birthdays and special events.
This car definitely has the British Rolls Royce look and gets many looks.
