Car description |
---|
NOTE- This is a 1970 model year, not 1969 as shown it the title.
Body is clean and rust free. Interior needs finishing, and the headliner is missing (bows are there). It runs and drives. A new brake master cylinder is installed and the brakes work properly. The automatic transmission shifts properly, and has had an additional forward drive clutch plate installed for longevity.I do not recall if the speedometer works, but the cable is new and the dash components work properly. The car has sat since the end of April 2017, and started with a turn of the key.
I have many additional Austin 1300 parts for this car, and the high bidder may take any automatic engine and gearbox parts I own as part of this sale and at no additional cost. The same holds true for the many suspension and other parts I own.
The Hydrolastic suspension is in good condition. All glass is good. Front and rear windscreen seals are new, the door windows open and close properly, as do the vent and rear quarter light windows.
The tires are old and have paint on them, but a replacement set of 145R12 tires with under 300 miles on them which are included. I believe I have 4 hub caps and beauty rings to include. The car will need a front end alignment, and the exhaust system will need to be checked to assure it does not contact, burn or hit anything while running and driving.I planned to finish this car and drive it but unforeseen medical conditions have brought my mechanic days to an end.
I strongly suggest a personal inspection of this car. It's old and it's British.I have limited movement, and will take picture requests as much as possible. A visit to see the car would be much more accurate than any picture.
I will refund high bidder's purchase price, minus my listing fees, to a high bidder ONLY IF they have personally inspected the car. Otherwise, the sale is As-Is .I will provide reasonable assistance to buyer to get vehicle, but will accept no financial obligation in doing so.PayPal will be accepted for deposit only. Balance will be COD.
