Fact: The 1962 Austin Healey 3000 BN7 is the rarest of all six cylinder Healeys. Only 355 Tri-Carb, seater Austin Healey BN7's were made and of that only 132 were sent to the U.S! While the average collector seems seek out the 63-67 Mark III, J8, total of 17,712 were made - hardly rare and likely fully priced. As savvy collectors are always looking for the next car that has not been "discovered" by the masses, t is likely the BN7 will catch their attention as a car this rare should be more valuable than the $100K + BJ8 Healeys. This particular BN7 has been treated to a very authentic nut and bolt restoration. You will not see the over-restored polished SU carbs or chromed valve cover. The Heritage certificate shows that this car has been restored with the same colors as it was born with. We have the original painted wire wheels but did choose to put new chrome wire wheels on the car. The Heritage certificate shows that this car came with a factory hard top. Unfortunately that has been lost over the years, ut finding a factory hard top for this car will likely raise the value much more than the cost of purchase. The photos really do not do the car justice, s the Cream White and Red Paint are much warmer and softer in person. This car really needs nothing to be driven and shown at local events. It runs great and the overdrive transmission works wonderfully. The car is very enjoyable to drive. You would never guess this car was restored in 2006 as it looks much fresher. A friend of ours that has a British Car repair/restoration shop in New Mexico told us about the car. In 2006 he flew to the restoration shop and inspected the car for his customer and has maintained it since. We have a notepad in which the fastidious owner logged fuel fill ups, il changes and maintenance. While it looks like it has barely been driven, he notepad shows that the car has been driven just over 12,000 miles since 2006. Driven just enough each year to keep things moving and lubricated. If you are pursuing a very high quality Austin Healey then this is the car for you and you can buy this car now before prices climb!
