This is a 1962 Sprite with a Bugeye front end conversion. This is not a true Bugeye. This started as a father son project but my son has lost interest in the car and desires to work on motorcycles. Such is youth. The original motor had a 0-60 in 19+ seconds. In other words don't try to merge on the freeway. So we decided to put in a 1.6L Datsun/Nissan 510 Engine and 4 Speed Transmission. To accomplish this the transmission tunnel was cut out and the transmission cross frame as well. The engine will now fit but will need engine mounts fabricated. The Datsun 1.6L motor came out of a 1972 Datsun 510. The engine was machined 0.040 over by a local shop and reassembled by my son and I.Overall the car is in very solid shape. Floor pans are in good condition as are the rockers. The seats have been recovered and look very nice. Interior, ood condition (the metal) just looks like a mess. There are no major dents or damage that I can see. BUT it is not ready to paint. Not in the pictures but included are the bumper, oll bar, indshield, riginal transmissionTitle is "lost". When I bought the car they could not find the title. But I have tracked down the last address of the registered owner. In Washington State (my state), understand that you need to send a certified letter asking to release the car to you to the last address on record. IF it comes back and they agree or it just returns as "Occupant no longer there". Then that allows you to file for title. It would be nice to see this go as a whole but I also have the items listed in other adds. So if a part sells this add will be changed or deleted. If you need any more information please let me know.Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser.
