You are bidding on a 1954 Austin Healey 100 BN1 with 100M modifications and more. This is Donald Healey's original model and is the rarest and most sought after Austin Healey of them all. I have owned this fantastic sports car for 25 years and have driven it to Healey Conclaves all over the country...Park City Utah, ashington DC, ake Tahoe; Grand Rapids MN; Winston-Salem NC; Akron OH; Burlington VT; Colorado Springs CO; Louisville KY; and Charlevoix, uebec to name a few. So many Austin Healeys are all show and no go. This car has never been on a trailer. Not only has it been driven all over the country and to nearly every Texas Healey Roundup, t has won numerous best of show and Gymkhana/Hill climb/Speed Run awards. I bought this car here in Austin in 1989. It was then professionally restored to 100M+ specifications: Motolita Derrington style steering wheel LeMans cold air box w/K&N filter Louvered aluminum LeMans bonnet with leather strap LeMans spec Mondial racing pistons Denis Welch oil pump w/flex oil line 100M camshaft SC Parts alloy cylinder head (this is what makes it really go!) SU H6 ¾ inch carbs Spin on oil filter AH3000 front disc brakes AH3000 3.9 rear axle AH3000 rear brakes SC Parts leaf and coil springs SC Parts stainless steel exhaust header SC Parts big bore stainless steel exhaust (sounds good!) Dayton 5.5 inch "tubeless" chrome wire wheels with 72 stainless steel spokes (that's right...no stinking tubes!) Michelin 195/65-15 steel belted radial tires AH3000 anti-sway bar Optima 1000 amp battery Facet solid state electric fuel pump Pertronix Flamethrower distributor Lucas Tripod headlights Badge bar with ornamental badges and driving lights Smith's ammeter I have been driving the Healey 100M continuously over the years and have kept it in top condition. This stunning car will (and has) run circles around just about any more or less stock Healey model around. It is a legend in the Texas Healey community. Last year it was treated to a $15,000 re-commissioning by Jeff's Resurrections, he premier Texas restorer. The starter and generator have been remanufactured by Star Auto Electric. It is in better condition now than it was when first restored 25 years ago. Everything works. Of course, here is no rust or Bondo on the exquisitely painted "Old English White" body, nd the gleaming and quite solid frame is outstanding...no scuttle shake here. The steering and suspension are tight and features Denis Welch poly bushings. The re-chromed original grill, umpers, nd other bright work are perfect. The wind screen is new. The original type reproduction side curtains are as new in their storage bag. The spare has never been on the ground since replacement a few years ago. The knock-offs and wheels haven't a scratch. The rebuilt original three-speed all synchro 28% overdrive gearbox (5 forward speeds) works perfectly, s do the clutch and brakes. The heavy-duty dampers have been recently rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics. The excellent fitting and quite beautiful top is NOS Amco. The tonneau cover is just two years old. The interior shows no sign of age. This Healey has only the most necessary upgrades to make it completely roadworthy; otherwise, t is very original. The subtle improvements only add to the car's drivability. I am so sure of this Healey 100's value and appeal, hat I am offering it with no reserve! BTW: I know Healeys: read my tech articles in the Austin Healey Marque magazine or online at Moss Motoring. http://www.mossmotoring.com/?s=mike+mcphail
