Has seen very little use over the years and is ready for a new owner to make it a fun weekend driveragain. Being sold with a very low reserve that will make it affordable for the enthusiast on a limited budget.
Originally from Colorado, and was always used on nice days.

The Sprite had been owned by a long time British Car enthusiast that had used the Sprite back in the day. It had been used sparingly over the years and has spent the last 10-15 years not being used.
Mechanicallythe Healey starts and runs and stops but will still need some work to be a reliable driver. Unfortunately the project has been stalled due to some unexpected storage issues and must be sold immediately. Some work has already been started on the Sprite whichincludes the following:
1. New Dual Master Cylinder for brakes and clutch.2. New Slave Cylinder.3. New Tie Rod Ends - Needs alignment.4. New Front Brake Hoses.5. New Rear Brake Hoses.6. New Trunion Bushings.7. New Steering Rack Boots.8. New Clutch Pipe.9. New Clevis Pins.
The carbs have been cleaned and seem to working as they should however it seems to be idling high. It does start easily at the pull of the choke! The engine shows strong oil pressure. The engine runs good however it is a bit noisy. I would think a valve adjustment would be in order. The brakes have been bled, however I think the rear drums need to be adjusted because the brakes seem to drag slightly. Clutch works fine. Transmission is in good shape and shifts through all of the gears with no noise or whine when driving around the block. Front end rebuild has been started, however more work will be needed including a front end alignment. Cooling system is good and the car does not overheat or leak. Charging system is fine and has a good battery.
TheInterioris in good condition and shows very little wear. The carpet is in good condition. The door panels are in nice shape. The dash is in good original condition as shown in the pictures. The speedometer/odometer is not working and the Speedo needle has fallen off. The estimated mileage is around 50K. It does have a working period style radio. A toggle switch replaced the ignition switch many years ago. The Sprite has the original seats which are in nice condition. Overall the interior looks very good.
The bodyis remarkably rust free as shown in the pictures. This includes the rocker panels, "A" panels and lastly the troublesome body seams which are notorious rust prone are free of rust. This is very common on many of the vintage British cars and is very difficult to repair. The panel fit is very good. The door panel fit is very good which is problematic for Sprites. The doors close nicely and there are no issues with the hinges. The floor pans are original with one area that shows and older repair. The trunk is rust free as well as shown in the pictures. Bumpers are in good original condition.
The auction also includes the original side curtains as well as the top frame. The original top is also included however it does not fit due to not being installed on the care. The top is in fair condition due to it's age. Windshield is in good condition with no cracks.
ONCE AGAIN....A NO RESERVE AUCTION!
