of this 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III BJ8
The Austin-Healy 3000 Mark III BJ8 was produced from 1963 until the end of 1967, with a total of 17,712 produced during this time. This last model produced by Austin-Healey was the most powerful and luxurious, with the 3000cc I6 dual carb 150 hp engine and a walnut veneer dash. In May 1964 the Phase II version of the Mark III was released, which had a modified rear chassis to allow rear ground clearance to be increased. Only 2+2 seat versions of the BJ8 were produced.
This 1965 Austin-Healey is in excellent condition and has been meticulously maintained. The 3000 cc engine has been upgraded with a Tri-Weber carburetor for additional power mated to a 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive. It comes equipped with power steering and power brakes, with front disc and rear drum. An electric fan has been added to ensure the engine runs cool. The color is a deep navy blue over silver with new black vinyl interior and a custom center console. If you decide to drive it with the top on, the black vinyl convertible top is like new and has a Stayfast canvas tonneau cover to protect it when parked with the top down.
