1965 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII for sale. Older restoration car with 68022 miles. Heritage Trust certificate shows the car was built August 1965. Original color Colorado red with black interior. All the seats and rear squab have been recovered in the correct black “checkered” pattern. It has a nice burled wooden dash. The black carpet is very good. This MKIII BJ8 has chrome 60 spoke Dunlop wheels with nice 165 by 15 Widetrack radials. It has an upgrade to a spin on oil filter. This MKIII has a brand new distributor. It comes with a vintage Amco luggage rack. It also has a very nice Motolita woodrim steering wheel. The paint shows its age and has numerous spots throughout. The underside, although not perfect, is solid. There is some bondo on the left side rocker and dogleg. The sills and out riggers look good. It has a recent stainless exhaust system. It has an older, but still nice, black canvass top. It comes with the original boot cover. This BJ8 also comes with aftermarket driving lights. The original servo has been rebuilt by Apple ($500.00). The HD8 carburetors have been rebuilt. I have a folder that shows receipts for over $17,000.00 in the past 10 years or so. The chrome overall is good, but the grill surround shows some wear, in keeping with the age of the car. If you are looking for a nice ready to go, runner driver, at a reasonable price, this is the car. A non-refundable $1000.00 deposit is required within 48 hours after the auction’s end.
