Purchased as a fresh restoration Kurt Tanner, a premier marque specialist, out of Arizona in 2007, is handsomely appointed in Dark British Racing Green and Black Ambla interior. This 3000 MKIII also boasts chrome/stainless wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering wheel, radio delete, 2.9L twin SU H56 carbs, and a four-speed overdrive transmission. The workmanship and attention to factory detail were performed to the highest Austin-Healey Gold Concours Standards.
A close examination yields that this 100-point restoration been lovingly kept and driven only sparingly, still in very strong Concours Driven condition. In the 9 years that the current owner has been the caretaker, only that braking system required a rebuild, and a correct tropical cooling fan has been added for operation in warmer climates.
Documentation includes a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) Archive Certificate, and photo documentation attesting to the complete, professional rebuild. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a 3000 MkIII, the most luxurious and desirable of all big Healeys.
- Restored in 2006 to Austin-Healey Concours Gold Standards
