This has to be one of the nicest nut and bolt restorations of a Bugeye Sprite anywhere. This car was built not only for shows. it was built to perform. and it delivers on both. Built over a several year period by highly regarded Austin Healey Club of America member. This member has built several Austin Healey Club Concours Gold cars. however this was built to be used in national and regional events as a show car that you can really drive. It has the best of the best and high quality finishes everywhere top to bottom Starting with the body. this was a 2 owner. low mileage car that came from TX and has never been rusty. The body was town down to the tub. and thoroughly refinished. From there. every part on the car was either rebuilt. refinished or replaced with both NOS and high quality replacement parts. Mechanically it was all rebuilt to a very high standard. However this car is no where near stock. It has a later sprite 1275cc engine that has been built into a 1380cc powerhouse. it has a Weber DCOE carb. electronic ignition. Lucas Sports coil. high capacity wires. Alternator conversion. and crossflow radiator. In front of the radiator is a custom built oil cooler. The brakes were upgraded to front discs with a larger late model dual circut master cyl. The transmission was upgraded to a 5 speed using the Rivergate kit. a highly regarded company that puts out a very nice package allowing this car to cruise at high speed comfortably at low RPM. The wheels are true Panasport alloy wheels. not the cheaper look a like wheels out there. and are shod with high performance tires. The front is fitted with upgraded springs along with a custom anti-roll bar. In the rear a Panhard bar has been fitted to keep power to the ground. Look at the pictures and I think you will agree. there are few Bugeyes out there that can match this cars performance and level of workmanship. This car has won numerous trophies not only in national and regional Austin Healey shows. but also in club competitions. This is an opportunity to buy the best.
