Car description |
---|
This is an '85 Ur-Quattro imported to Canada. Only 763 cars were imported to North America between 1982 and 1986, imports to the US ceased in 1984 while Canada received only 21 vehicles in 1985 and '86. This is one of the last cars officially imported to North America.
The car is in the original Tornado Red and features Euro upgrades including Hella lamps and Euro spec bumpers. The interior features an Audi Sport three spoke steering wheel, upgraded leather interior, upgraded sound system, supplemental dash mounted gauge cluster and features the last of the analog dashboards.
Mechanically this vehicle has had all of the normal performance upgrades one would typically find on a Quattro of this vintage. The car was prepped by legendary Canadian Rally Champion Frank Sprongel and Four Star Motorsports with over $30k of work done to the engine and chassis in the mid-90's. The car is reliable and comfortable on both the road and the track and is putting down approximately 245hp, 48hp more than stock and not bad for a car weighing in at under 3000lbs.
This car has had three owners. The first owner was a long haul commuter who put 103k miles on it in the first three years, the remaining 31k miles have been put on in the last 30 years. It has never been winter driven and always stored in a climate controlled garage by all three owners. The car has been in my possession since 2002.
Serious enquiries only please. Located in Toronto, Canada and available for export to the US.
