Car description |
---|
This is a 1969 AMX. Lots of factory options. I buy, sell and trade exclusively AMC cars. Picked this one up to part out and just don't have the heart to unless I offer it up complete, at least once, to the public. It is very rough but very complete. Bought without a title, but title can be acquired for an added fee. Has the original390/auto with valve cover tag and original carb.(starter is no good, don't know if engine is locked or not.) Other options are:
Tilt column, 140 speedometer/tachometer cluster, AM/FM radio with faceplate, air conditioning, factory tinted windows, electric windshield wiper assembly, dash clock
The dash is in very good shape. Has slight curve in the center edge(close to the windshield and pictured) and hair line crack(pictured). Center piece with speaker section is fantastic. Seats function and are good cores with head rests. Interior trim is complete and in good shape other than one piece that wraps the inside edge of back window. The hard to find trim that lengths the sail pails are not broken(pictured)!
The car rolls freely. Rear end has the torque link arms in place. I do not know if it's a twin grip or the ratio.
Previous owner had owned it since the 90's(or longer?). He realized he'd never get to the restoration so he decided to move it along. I do agree this would be one ambitious resto project. However, it is a perfect donor car, lending most of the hard to find parts to a AMX or Javelin with good bones. I know the frustration of trying to nail down all these rare parts, so he it is all in one package!
Legal stuff. DO NOT HIT BUY IT NOW TO SECURE A TIME TO INSPECT!! Non refundable deposit of $500 is due immediately after purchase. I'm more than happy to show the car to any potential buyer. All questions welcome.
