1969 AMC AMX "SS"390 V8 T-10 4 SPEED DUALQUADHOLLY CARBS GROUP 19 GO-PAKRARE! BIG BAD ORANGE! Hello AMC AMX SS Collectors! What we have posted here is a unique and rare AMC AMX "SS Semi-Clone" with original rare options and rare original items. From all we have gathered thus far, This AMX started life as a 390 v8, 4 barrel 4 speed T-10, (the original 4 bbl manifold, the linkage and original foot pedals, rear end cover plate are all still with the car in a box.) for the purest, as a note.
CAR NUMBER DASH PLAQUE # 08478
The Dual Quad was added way back and has a early original # AM4486228 Edelbrock numbers on it along with a old racers name from the good 'ol days, John Ward. (If you have any extra info on him please drop us a email, thanks) The old owner had this car for the past 29 years and the car has been in Iowa, Nebraska, and now Colorado. The car was repainted in the original Big Bad Orange and is very nice with all jams and details firewall gutters and lips showing good detail.
The 390 V8 Engine is rebuilt with a BIG BAD CAM to match that of the true SS 390 performance with 400-425+ HP. Please see pictures of CAM specs and the CAM was done by the Best around, Ultradyne INC.! The linkage was upgraded with the Holly Dual Quads to run smooth and without any catches, as is a issue with original linkage which is in the box of parts provided as listed above. The car runs like a watch and starts great with a sound only a CAM and Quads can have! Listen to it back out of the garage in the Youtube Video link provided, COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK! >>>>>>> https://youtu.be/6t-orOwvSm0 <<<<<<<<
The car is overall a great daily driver show car with above standardpaint and detail. The stripes are very nice and straight and show very well. The car has been always inside stored and has been adult owned. The originality of the car is shown in the great fit and alignments. Bumpers and details all are very well done. The Fins and Flares are also all great details. A rare Go-Pak Car Group 19 with the Spoilers, DualQuad, Borg Warner T-10, 390 V8, is: 1 of 19. Also we have been told in Big Bad Orange1 of 284 produced. The cars Vin Number shows the rarityof this AMX as a unique original car.A9M397X130571 Please re-check all these numbers, as we have searched long and hard to get to this point. Tranny numbers are: M?-30-68 late 1968 T-10 Borg Warner 4 Speed. We Do not have any numbers for the rear end, but it all looks to be as original as all of the underside is and original to the car. Emgine Block code is as good as I can read it?: 8190806 AA raised Block rear codes.

This AMC AMX is a rare car no matter what, but as it sits now it is one of one in the Nation as a tribute to this rare and unique AMX Model. Very difficult to find parts for and get to this point of restoration. The car is what it is and is a very solid car and a very straight car. There have been some inserts in the main floors but nothing that is cause for any worry. Metal repairs were done in two or three flat areas and seamed in showing good work and seal. The car is very solid where it counts in the wheel wells fenders frame upper houses and seams. the flat floor had the only repair know and are all taken care of and now is a 100% rust free car. No bondo areas known, all metal as we can see. Car runs out great needs nothing and you can drive it today. We can help with contacting shippers if needed and this one should go enclosed! Glass is all good to great and seals and weatherstrip is all very good and functions well. All items work as factory. Please ask any and all questionsbefore bidding. no games, no Hidden bad issues of any kind. A true and fair auction, on a great car. Ask about a "Buy it Now"!
