Car description

1973 AMC Javelin
401ci Engine out of a 1972 AMC Matador, AMC "Dogleg" heads, Crower level 3 cam, Torker 2 intake, 2500 rpm stall converter, Hooker Super Pro Comp Headers, Heavy duty driveshaft and yoke.
Power steering, Manual brakes. No Carb on it. Wheels and Tires on it now are not what it will be sold with.
727 Torqueflite Trans, 8&3/4 Limited Slip Mopar rear axle out of a 1968 Roadrunner, 742 casing I believe.
New parts: New Champion 3 core 24" radiator, with overflow tank and new hoses, electric fan and modified aluminum shroud.
New alternator and spark plugs, replaced spark plug leads.
The entire brake system is new, from master cylinder to pads. All new hardline and rubber line, new adjustable distribution block, new rotors and calipers, pads, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums. Used the $1000 dollar kit from American Parts Depot.
Repainted door inserts, new shifter handle.
New larger gas tank, 22 gallon, new fuel sending unit, new tank straps.
The Bad
Although the brake system is all new, I couldn't ever get it to work reliably. It currently holds to much pressure and the brakes stick on. All it needs is a new master cylinder and to be bled and actually worked on more often than I can. Both rotors and calipers have a thin layer of outside rust, easily cleaned off, no pitting.
It also has a bad starter, hardly cranks, tried it with 2 solenoids and batteries but its done.
Most gauges don't work, electrical gauge works, water temp gauge works if you hold the back, oil pressure gauge usually doesn't work, speedometer doesn't work, stuck at 75 and just flails around. Headlights work, most tail lights work, haven't been able to check, I believe just one inner is out.
It needs some body work, one bad rust spot behind passenger rear tire, one spot on rear windshield. Dent on passenger side behind door, bad bondo/paint work above driver front tire. Some missing trim, most is off and in a bag. Currently black, was red, and before that was purple, previous owner painted over each coat. Interior carpet is Yellow, old and stained, front bucket seats are a grey pattern, rear seats are white leather, ripped on the top.
To get it running, just needs a starter, carb, wheels and tires, and the brakes gone through. I've got an extra set of wheels that I could put on so you could move it, as the wheels on it now don't hold air. Pretty fun when it runs, once started it runs great with no issues, it's mainly getting it started, and stopped.
I've got a notebook of things done to it, and things I found out about it, along with all the trim pieces I have, new HEI distributor for a 401, and the aforementioned set of wheels.
