1962 Rambler / AMC Classic 400 ****Very Nice Car****

I have a very nice. rust free 1962 Rambler Classic 400 up for auction! I have had this car for just over a year. I drive it 60 miles to work and back every day in the warm summer months. The engine is the original 195 six and runs flawlessly! The choke can be temperamental so my thought was to install a manual choke. It has a very simple Holly. one barrel which holds adjustment very well!The trans is the 3 speed manual with overdrive which works every time! Basically it is a four speed. It shifts on the column with very a positive clutch with no chatter or slippage!The front suspension is very tight. The wheel stays centered with no drift or pull. The brakes are very good as well. Brakes very strait with zero pull!The tires are brand new Coker wide whites! It has NOS Rambler spinners added to the stock hub caps. I have a very nice. extra set of the correct hub caps if you would like to change back to the original look. It has the original spare which is in surprisingly good condition!The mileage is original at 52K at the time of this listing. The interior is almost perfect! The dash does have some cracking but not too bad. A large speaker cover could be used to cover most of the crack. The carpet is in decent shape but I have a new. correct replacement carpet in the box if you should decide to change it out!It also has the rare right side exterior rear view mirror!I added a NOS Rambler roof rack. I had the windows tinted in high quality. period correct. Blue Gasser tint!The dash compass is a NOS piece as is the Nodding" dog on the package tray!Under dash AM / FM cassette works and sounds good being black and is barely noticeable! A dual carb Offenhauser intake comes with the car. It includes two. matched Carter carbs. gasket and new chrome air cleaners. I have a slew of spare parts for this car as well!Looking under the car I noticed that the tail pipe is breaking away from the muffler. I will include a new single in and dual out Flowmaster muffler and 2 new Stainless Steel Lake Pipes for you to have installed or install yourself. Please ask any and all questions before bidding.
