Looking for a good home for my 1968 AMC AMX Real X Code 390 4 speed car. I am selling the car as a rolling chassis. No Engine included. It is a race car, but all steel body, fenders, hood, trunk lid, and bumpers. Has both the vin# plates in the original two places they put them on the 1968’s. It does have Lexan windows and a 6 point roll bar with swing out door bars. It is painted Big Bad Green. The previous owner bought the car from S&K Speed who built the car. It has sub frame connectors, ladder bar suspension, 9†Ford with 5.14 gears. It launches hard and straight. Incredibly well built car. I run a 390ci engine with a T-10 4 speed in the car and it runs consistent 6.90’s in the 1/8 mile with the wheels up at the starting line. Real crowd pleaser. It comes with the MSD 6al wired to the adjustable two step, line lock, Auto Meter Monster tach, Goodyear Slicks, Fuel cell, fuel pump, and much more I am forgetting. To be honest, this car is ready for you to drop in your AMC engine and transmission and go racing. I never thought I would sell the car, but an opportunity to buy a car I have wanted for years has presented itself, and my wife said this one must go. This is one tough AMX, and draws a crowd at the race track. Thanks for looking. This link is to a video of the car running. I raced my Dad for the first time on the track. As you can see, she launches hard and straight. We were still adjusting the Tim Hyatt Racing Clutches. The car leaves a lot less violently with the Hyatt slipper clutch. https://youtu.be/4nVYUkIWW38
