1968 AMX project car with custom T-tops. comes with the original 290 engine and has a machine shop rebuilt 390 that comes with it. Bored .040 over. Chassis was sandblasted and primed. Stored inside for last 25 years. it was a southern car and has wind sand damage in the rear floor pan dipsbut have the new pans there. My 88 yr old mentor was teaching me how to lead the other affected areas.New trunnions and heavier front springs for 390. Front suspension parts sandblasted and painted black. removed all the undercoating from inside front fender wells. Battery tray area was damaged from acid as I got it. rebuilt better than new. Note the hood had some putty and hood pins as I got it as seen in picture. Parts stored away with bolts in labeled containers by location. tops were from a mustang II. Added extra support to unibody and windshield area. I drove it a good while after installation and no structural issues. Started right rear panel work . Left rear needs done. parts 90% there??? It will need carpet and usual rebuild parts.Seats and interior was done in black crushed velour and will need redone. Have all the glass and chrome. Wiring harness was nothing special when I got it but rebuildable. 4 speed Borg warner T-10 with Hurst close throw shifter. there is another transmission and some more parts from a third. 55,018 miles. AMX DASH # 01941. Will take work to finish but very dry, solid car perfect forREMOD or just a fast, fun driver. Clear Title. I hope to add more pictures later.
