PLEASE DO NOT MAKE RIDICULOUS OFFERS ON THIS CAR....The price is firm, if you don't like the number ($) move on.
I am going to try this one more time, after looking at what else is available in AMX's all over the internet, this car should be an easy sell. If not, i am going to hang on to it and do what has to be done. Please note this listing is in US dollars($). NOT Canadian.
My first car, at 16, was a 1970 AMX. However i just do not have what it takes to keep these things going at my age.
This is a one prior owner 1970 AMX, I got it from the widow of the one and only owner prior to me. Glass and windshield are original. Most all of the paint is original, the driveline is original The body is rust free. The engine and trans were both completely overhauled 5000 miles ago. This is a very special 1970 FACTORY BIG BAD BLUE AMX.
However, the original paint has 50 years of nicks and scuffs, it is a five footer I would say. This is not a restored car, it is also not $60K USD.
There are two issues that will need to be addressed. The rest is ready to go or the issues are minor.1) The oil dipstick was broke off at the block. i got the lower part out but getting one back in is not appearing to be easy to do.2) Numbers 6 and 8 cylinders were oil fouled when i got the car. Smoke is excessive from the RH exhaust pipe. I do not know why and the original owner is deceased. Compression is good all around. i have been told it is likely an intake manifold gasket but I really do not know. HAVING TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES IS WHY THE CAR IS ON THE MARKET(I AM TOO OLD).
I am selling the car for what i have invested. the price is firm but it is a special car. This is a Canadian sold car, as such i do not have a US Title. i do have the Canadian license docs. Canadian purchasers will be subject to appropriate taxes on sale amount. (Canada-GST) Sask (PST & GST) USA buyers are Canadian tax exempt.
My name is Glenn, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, or if there is a photo of something you would like to see. I will do my best to address all issues.
I will sell to Canada and the USA. Buyer is responsible to address pickup and/or shipping of the car. i will do my best to assist in making that happen.
