Car description |

AMC took the mild-mannered Rambler and turned it into a drag racing superhero, and this 1969 AMC Hurst SC/Rambler tribute car honors all the best of that. With it bold paint package, Hurst four-on-the-floor, and a big V8 under the hood, this has the power and poise of a proper street-eating machine.
The Hurst cars were patriotic, and their spirit was unmissable. The huge red streak down both sides instantly announce the performance intentions. And the blue stripe is literally over-the-top, and you know that you just love how it points to the big hood scoop with callout. So while these were painted white, it really has enough stripping to have a tri-tone appearance. And this tribute gets the appearance right with everything from the pinstriping surrounding all the stripes, to the correct Hurst badges. You even have a proper set of polished Weld Racing wheels.
Inside, the blue interior has the right look for an S/C. Plus, this is truly built to be a drag machine. That means shedding all the weight you can for the sake of speed: a clean dash, rubber floor mats, and minimal options. It all has a clean look where start is also attractive. Plus, you have all the right driver-oriented features, like a grippy wood-rimmed steering wheel, column-mounted SunPro Super Tach, and of course, a Hurst shifter on the floor.
The star of this car is the motor, and so they made sure it was ready to show off. This is an ultra-tidy setup where you can see terrific details, like the turquoise block paint, bright Molidin valve covers, and shining air topper. In fact, there was a $1,500 investment in recent engine work to keep it looking and performing its best. More than just look awesome, the power is awesome, too. You have an AMC 360 cubic-inch V8 that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Plus, long tube headers add to the power while also contributing to the thunder of the dual exhaust. The four-speed manual transmission keeps you in firm control of this drag machine. Plus, traction bars and meaty rear tires keep the rubber planted to the road.
The sale also comes with the maintenance records and owner's manual. This is a very cool tribute to one of the boldest quarter-mile cars ever made. Don't miss your chance, call today!!!
