1961 AMC Rambler American "Super" Blue Wagon No Rust Complete Rebuild Motor, Body, Etc...
aka Kenosha Cadillac or Kenosha Coffin
Built in Kenosha, WI Great for Drive-In, Beach
All seats, front included, lay down to make giant sleeping area. Was selling point for traveling/camping.
Completely rebuilt original straight-6 engine. Everything else under the hood has been rebuilt, replaced or refabricated. Including gas lines, break lines, exhaust, etc, etc, etc..
3 in the tree has been changed to 3 in the floor. ;) CD player AM/FM installed in ashtray compartment. Hides it when closed.
Daily driver.
Have both Chain-Link and Vertical grills seen in pictures. Currently has Vertical grill on it.
Bought from OG owner in Kansas and restored, originally made in Kenosha, WI
Includes original Original Rambler American Technical Service Manual - size of small phone book. There is also some debate among AMC enthusiasts whether some of these models are 1961 or 1962. I am constantly being corrected as to which it is. The old, old grouchy man at the AMC junk yard, claims it one way, the Service Manual shows the only difference is the grill? The Title and Ebay auto-fills 1961 in title and no way around that. Your guess is as good as mine. ;)
