This is a wonderful example of this rare model, the AMC Eagle Kammback was only produced for two years 1981-1982, it will only appreciate in the future. I think of this car as an amalgamation of an Eagle front end with a Gremlin rear end, a truly unique look. This 1981 Kammback has 112000 mi, 4.2L straight 6 engine, 4 spd manual trans, select drive 4wd system, tilt wheel, cruise control (non op), manual windows, work well very smooth, new front axle shafts, new belts and hoses, new battery, new clutch, new transmission and transfer case seals, new pinion, and bearings in the rear axle, new rubber seal on back lift gate, new shocks, new front window, new interior, carpet and headliner. Have original owners manual, spare tire and jack, new paint in original color, new tires. There is some lifter noise when warmed up, 4wd selector knob is not hooked up to the transfer case have to manually change it in and out of 4wd but the 4wd does work very well, wrong sender in gas tank shows empty when full and visa versa. Front grille has a little chrome flaking off the plastic but is fully intact, see photo. Other than that this is a near perfect car, that could be worth a lot in a few years.
