Car description |
---|
This has been my daily driver (weather pending) while I restore another same make model of this car. I hate to see this rare car go, but I my other project almost street ready. Would really like to see someone take it to the next level and enjoy driving it as much as I have. Listed mileage is what the odometer showed when I last drove it. actual miles are unknown. Below, is the summary.
196 OHV Engine
Newer water pump
New fan belt
Era correct aftermarket oil filter
Carburetor was rebuilt in Spring of 2014, (could use a little more dialing in)
Newer muffler
3 speed column shift
New Cap, Rotor, Spark Plugs and Wires
Brakes are good, new Master Cylinder
4 New BFG Radial T/A’s, P205/60-R15
5 New Chrome Smoothie Wheels
Original wheels with newer tires (2016) and hubcaps included
Gas tank patched and lined
Newer electric wiper conversion
Soft top is in decent shape, (Rear window needs attention)
Convertible motor works as it should
Newer headlights and all lighting except the dash light works
Has good heat
OE lay flat front bucket seats with optional center console, (both front and rear seats are very comfy)
Interior is in good shape except the passenger side door panel needs some TLC
Older restoration, was originally a black car
Paint needs resorted or redone
There is some body filler in the lower rear panels, but otherwise a very clean car
All the glass is good and only the driver side rear window needs a little help just at the top in rolling down or up.
Missing are the front of hood chrome strip, hood emblem, antenna, some of the original chrome strips were not reinstalled during earlier restoration and were not included when I bought the car.
A couple of broken items are the, fuel gauge, horn ring (horn works) and the turn signal cancel cam, but the signals themselves do work properly, you just have to manually turn them on or off. The radio is there, but there aren’t any speakers. So, I am not sure if it works or not.
This car is also listed locally for sale, so I am reserving the right to end the auction early if it sells.
