Up for sale is a very rare 1971 AMC Javelin AMX. This is 1 0f 2054 1971 AMC Javelin AMX'S built and 1 of 745 AMC Javelin AMX'S built with a 401. First year of new body style and first year of 401. This is the only one of the 71 Z code cars known to exist in this color. Rare color combo Skyline Blue with blue corduroy interior. Very highly optioned car with tilt column, Rimblo wheel, a.c, tinted glass, heated rear window, machine wheels, am 8 track player, fold down armrest, power disc brakes, electric wipers, twin grip rear, automatic transmission. Car has correct 71 white T Stripe for 71 with body color that shows through as it fades away. Has Dual Snorkel factory cowl induction air cleaner [ early 71 AMX ] that works.Brand new tires on car. 68,000 and change on odometer. Correct stamping behind steering box to show z-code vin. This car came out of a small AMC dealership in Rhode Island named Lapolla Motors. The previous owner said he bought this from the daughter of the owner of the dealership and bumpers were painted at dealership. I kind of like them and left them alone, some people love them others don't but this is an easy change if you decide you like the chrome better as these are being reproduced. Never any rust that I can find on car. I even took seats out and lifted carpet to see the original floors in awesome shape. Was sitting in a storage building for 30 years before I bought it.
