Selling my 1964 AMC Typhoon that I have had for 15 years. The car ran and drove home from my mechanics shop three years ago. It should be easy to start-up again. The down side is that it needs new fuel lines or tank. It was brought home running on a one gallon can seen in the engine photo. The body is generally good. The only damage is the dent at the passenger door handle. No rust through. The paint is original except for the front passenger fender which was dent repaired. Windshield is bad. Very original down to the spinner hub caps. Bumpers need re-chromed. The interior is the worst part. Pretty much needs a total re-do. It has the bucket seats with the console. Automatic shifter on the column. Great project to restore a VERY RARE AMC model. Only about 1500 were produced to introduce the 232 straight 6 cylinder 7 main bearing engine which was used (upgraded versions) in AMC / Jeep vehicles up until 2006. Tyhoons were only available with the pale yellow bottom and black top and black interiors with special black-out trims and grille treatment. Please ask any questions. Feel free to send offers. I am selling my house soon and preparing for retirement. Most of my AMC'S must go. Pick-up and / or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Thank you for looking! The car is located in Redmond, Washington.
