Car description |

I have for sale a 1974 AMC Javelin,
The car has an original 360 engine with an automatic transmission.
The car is really in good shape for being 43 years old.
It has been repainted at some point and the top has also been replaced at some point.
Its a Factory A/C car and all the components are still in it except the compressor which I Have. I was told when I bought it a few years ago it worked and then the compressor went out. The car has spent most of its life in Florida and was told in a garage. I am in Dallas Tx area and have had it for the last couple of years and it stays in a garage also.
The car is in really good shape and has had some repair to the drivers side Quarter panel. I was told it was fixed at some point and it looks really well but you can tell it has a bit of Bondo in it. If you look real close you can see some pitting in it.
There is 2 spots on the car that has some bubbling under the paint. One is under drivers door handle and on the front fender. You have to really look to see it. The car is Rust free and its super clean under neath also. The car is mostly stock from what I have been told the only thing that is not is the carb and Intake. Everything thing works on the car. All the lights wipers Heater, radio etc. The only thing that does not work is the factory Clock. I have owned many of these cars and most do not work.
I did also change out the Luggage rack that it had on it. I put the spoiler on the car and had it matched to the rest of the car. Being that said they had to repaint the deck Lid. The car is still very powerful and drives very well for a 43 year old car. Take your hands off at 70 and stays right there. The tires are all new maybe 100 miles on them. The wheels and bumpers have some pitting in them but still look really well. We have won 6 Trophies with the car out of 10 shows we were in. I love beating the $100k Chevy and Fords. The car is not a Show car but I would say A drivers Quality car. It looks really nice but No Barrett Jackson car. The Interior looks great also. No rips or tears and shows well for its age.
I do here a slight Header leak on the passenger side but nothing bad at all.
I am one who changes out the oil 3 times a year and flushes all the fluids. SO its been very well taken care of. The car runs well and it Kicks down when you mash the gas and the 4 Kicks in nice. The Transmission shifts well. I am not sure of the Gears in the rear but I would say at least 373 or 410. The car at 70 runs at 2800 RPM and revs up very quick. It has a nice sound and you can here on the Video.
We are Retiring and moving to Florida and the place we got has no Garage so that the reason for selling. I would love to keep but the car spends its life in the Garage. We did some shows last year and mostly sits in the garage.
I have made a YouTube Video also and will try and add the Link.
