For auction is my 1971 AMC Motors Javelin which needs to go to a good home for someone who appreciates this unique muscle car. I have a clear title and it a solid good running and driving car. This is the SST model with the Borg-Warner 3 speed “Shift Command” automatic transmission and 3:19 gears. The engine is a numbers matching 304 5 liter V8. This car is a great driver and in solid mechanical shape-- I drive it to work several days a week in nice weather, lso I run errands in it, o car cruises and have driven it to many car events from 50 to 75 miles away from my home with no problem. The car has been garaged in winter since I have owned it but gets started every few days during winter to keep everything running well. I have another project going now, y garage is full and I do not want to store the Javelin for the winter if I can avoid it so I have decided to sell the car. Cosmetic upgrades are a Grant racing wheel, &M performance shifter, tainless brake lines, ew carpet, ew floor pans, ew headliner, ew rear deck and upholstery, nd brand new racing seats from JEGS which are much more comfortable than the old vinyl seating with their old springs and foam padding. The engine compartment is clean and painted with Edelbrock valve covers, ir cleaner and oil filler tube/cap. I have all the original parts, eats, nd trim pieces and they will be included with the car if you want to put it back to original specs. It has both sets of original keys. Mechanically the car has a new fuel pump, uel lines, as tank, edone 10 inch factory drums front and rear and a new stainless custom dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The original fatory 2100 model carb is rebuilt. The front end is redone with new rubber, OOG brand Pittman arm and idler arms, nd the Monroe shocks are also brand new. It has newer staggered fitment tires with lots of tread and nice aftermarket Torq-thrust rims. This car was ordered with factory air, nd I have the motor for the A/C but have not got around to putting it back on. The defroster and heat works great as do the wipers but I don’t take it out in the rain much. The chrome is good with only minor pitting mostly around the door handles but overall still shiny and no eyesores. The car displays great but it is driver quality paint with a slightly faded patina I would estimate the paint job is 20 years old or so and looks like lacquer. I want to be clear that if you are looking for a mint type show winner with a frame off $40 K restoration you will need to look elsewhere-- but the car looks good for cruise ins and general appearance. No big checkering or boiling, o rust spots on the body, ts solid overall and the frame is solid and good. This car originally had vinyl roof insert panels. Probably when the car was repainted years ago the vinyl top was removed, nd since I am not a fan of those I have left it alone. This car could quickly be put back to original show quality or just left as a muscle car driver/cruising car as I have done. If you win the auction I require an immediate $500 deposit in PayPal. Arrangements to pick up the car are the buyers’ responsibility. You can come get it, ave it shipped or whatever you prefer, ut when you pick it up I will require the balance of the payment by cashier’s check. After I deposit the funds I will hand you the title, aperwork and the keys. This is an antique 45 year old car, here is no warranty or guarantees associated with it. It is up to you to check it out prior to buying it. I have no problem putting it on jack stands so you can get under it, tc. prior to purchase. USA bidders only please. Please do not bombard me with emails wanting to end the auction early. If you have a legitimate question I will answer you as soon as I can, ut I am not a professional seller or car dealer and have my job and family to take care of. I can take more pictures if you need them. Thanks.
