Car description |

You are bidding to win a very nice, ot perfect 1972 AMC AMX or as some would say a Javelin/AMX. It is a factory equipped "Z" code by V.I.N. 401 c.i./727 automatic transmission. The transmission has Chrysler torque-flite internals with an AMC casing, stronger transmission than the Borg-Warner used in the 1971 Javelin/AMX. Other options include the Go-pak with cowl induction hood and air cleaner,PS, ront PDB, ilt/AM-8-track, actory dual exhaust. It runs and drives fine and is an extremely nice driver that you can enjoy and restore. I purchased from a widow in Atascadero, A in 2010. It shows just over 94K on the odometer which I was informed is correct butI cannot verify. Nice recent repaint but unsure when done.It has has small dent in front passenger fender which I believe I'm the culprit backing car out of garage, nd have left it until I or new owner repairs, lso has a scratch in the driver's door. Other than some bubbles in lower rear quarters (bubbles not on quarter lips), herockers, hock towers, oor jambs, nder hood/trunk very rust free...with very limited surface rust anywhere. As pictured it has aftermarket rims and tires in good condition. I replaced the (supposed) overhauled Holley carb with a new Edelbrock carburetor in 2010. Belts also replaced and also a new oil sending unit and new battery.Front brakes will need to be inspected but work fine. I have purchased a new rearspeaker panel & lower plastic valence for rear window, nd used set of "fau" T-top trim pieces that fit on the nicewhite vinyl on top of car. Interior is extremely nice with no cracks I could find...nice color and very nice medium blue cloth interior with very nice blue carpeting. New white T-top stripe also is included. It has a reserve price, lease do not ask and also with a Buy-now you receive (1) complete set of (4) 15x7 8-slot AMC rims made by Kelsy-Hayes with four trim rings and four center caps. (These are getting difficult to find in a complete set). No trades, nless land/home near Memphis, N, nbsp;no dealers, nd no overseas scams. Please......if you don't have immediate funds....do not bid until you have them....I will report non-buyers and....."bottom-feeders"....sorry, 've dealt with them in the past. $1000.00 deposit with 48 hours of auction end; full payment with three days of auction end to my bank which will release AMX and title. To clarify the AMX name, he true AMX was the two-seater of 1968,1969,1970....Richard "Dick" Teague attempted to persuade AMC executives to continue the two-seater into the 1971 year but was unsuccessful, ence the 1971-1974 "hump-fender" Javelin/AMX. There are many nice muscle cars, ot many AMC muscle cars were produced and survived....You won't have to look like everyone else as you're enjoying this AMX. Withonly 3220 total AMX's produced in 1972 and only825 with factory "401", ow many have survived. V.I.N. reads as: "A2C798Z....". A-designates: AMC; 2- designates year, 972; C-designates floor shift automatic; Z-designates 401 motor.
.Door tag reads: Body-074144; Model-7279-8 which designates an AMX; Trim-263R; Paint-C3 Skyway Blue; bottom of tag - W075112.I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as I have other "toys" I'm selling whichever sells first, will keep the latter. If you are truly serious and want to discuss the car, y telephone number is 320-291-1022, f I don't answer, eave a message and I'll return the call. If you are the winning bidder, 'd appreciating youcontact me immediately to make arrangement for adeposit to be sent to my bank.
I have nothing against any other brands of muscle cars.....but you're not going to be driving and enjoying what everyone else has, t is quite distinct. Please ask questions. Not responsible typos.

According to an email sent by an AMC enthusiast....C3 the color of my 1972 AMC AMX on ebay, as not a Javelin color, t was a special order only color. He stated he had seen only one other AMX (like his-same color C3), nd could have purchased years ago in San Luis Obispo, A....my 1972 AMX was purchased in Atascadero, A which is approximately 30 miles away....It was probably this AMX. Good luck biddingon this rare color scheme AMX.
See: Hemmings Motor News and their positive opinion on the 1971-1974 Javelin/AMX as undervalued and good investment value.
