This is a 1963 Ambassador 990 Station Wagon with a rare nine passenger option. It is equipped with an AMC 327 V8 with 2 barrel carburetor backed by a 3 speed manual with overdrive. This is the type of car every AMC/Rambler collector dreams about. It has been stored in a garage since 1974 (and has not been out of that garage until recently when purchased by me) and is rust free, xcept for one quarter sized rust hole near the hood hinge. The underside, loor boardsand the toe boards are rock solid, nd the car does not leak. The paint is faded as could be expected for old lacquer paint, ut it is still the original paint and color. The interior is in very good condition except for the shag carpet, hich will need to be replaced. The engine bay has been cleaned up and the cylinder heads have been re-built, s well as a new timing chain installed by the original owner. The car runs well, he clutch and transmission seem to work fine. However the overdrive has not been checked out. Also, he brake system has been re-conditioned. This is a fantastic car in need of a new proud owner. This car is sold as is, ith no warranty.
