Car description |
---|
1977 Alfa Alfetta GT 2000-barn find, has been parked since 1992 in my friends barn, out of the weather. 81K original miles, car in relatively nice shape but has been sitting. Interior in very nice condition, no rips or tears, seat present near new, carpets excellent as is the headliner and door cards.
Body is pin straight. Parked because owner became disenchanted with a very expensive laquar paint job that has suffered because of poor metal and surface prep. The body has many small surface rust spots on it. Underside is great, and no rot of any kind that I can see, and the trunk in great as well. Needs to be cosmetically restored.
Stored properly by a car fanatic, cylinders were oiled, fuel tank drained and the Tires were new. A hot battery and it started on starting fluid, no smoke or funny noises so motor runs. Fuel pressure light is on indicating low fuel pressure, pump or one of the 2 filters. Brake system will require a service. Clutch has pressure but should also be serviced.
New (then) Ansa stainless exhaust. Original plastic headlight bubbles too!!!
Easy restoration of an appreciating classic Italian car.
The car IS NOT A RUNNER?DRIVER AT THIS TIME.
